Nontheless, since english is the de facto standard language for the web, and since most of my links in this website were eventualy gathered from english written websites, it would be somewhat awkward not to include at least a small note for english speakers.

LINUX DISTROS (more at distrowatch)
- Linux Mint - If you want to start in the linux world I would recommend this distro first. It is based on Ubuntu, but has things like codecs pre-installed, some additional tools and two main desktop versions: Cinnamon for the latest computers and Mate for a more traditional and less resource hungry experience;
- Crunchbang Linux - If you want it fast and tweakable there is Crunchbang Linux, a great Debian based with openbox environment;
- Xubuntu - If you want the reliabity of the time proven XFCE environment along with the Ubuntu timely scheduled releases. An official flavour of Ubuntu without the unity mess.
